Levinger Lab sweeps RMRM awards

Students in our lab did an outstanding job at the virtual American Chemical Society Rocky Mountain Regional meeting! Sam, Fionna and Chris all presented their work virtually in individual 6-minute talks. Their presentations were so well received that each of them won an award!

Sam was awarded the ACS Award for her presentation on glucose-water interactions in reverse micelles (https://youtu.be/qEzpcm2PrQw). Fionna won the Women Chemists Committee Award for her presentation on cryoprotectants sequestering within plant cells (https://youtu.be/a0zMk-upjH0). Finally, Chris achieved the COACs Chair Award for his presentation on water dynamic simulations (https://youtu.be/Zf7T_n7bpIs).

We are so grateful to the folks who put on the 2020 ACS RMRM meeting, and those who raised and donated fund to give monetary awards this year! It was very exciting to see all the amazing work being done on the Front Range, and we’re looking forward to having more students present in 2021.
