Heidi speaks to students at her alma mater
Heidi travelled back to her alma mater, SUNY Potsdam, to present her work to the chemistry department. She gave a talk titled “Investigating the Localization of Cryoprotectants in Plant Shoot Tips using Coherent Raman Microscopy” to current students. We’re so glad she was able to share her work with her alma mater!
Nancy gives invited talk
Nancy was invited to speak at the 2nd International Symposium on Confinement-Controlled Chemistry 2022 at Ruhr University, Bochum. She presented a talk titled “Visualizing Cryoprotectant Permeation and Location Confined in Plant Cells and Tissues,” which included both Fionna’s and Heidi’s work.
Heidi presents at CRYO2022
Heidi travelled to Dublin this summer to present her talk “A multi-modal analysis of Mentha x piperita shoot tip response to cryoprotective agents” at the Cryobiology conference CRYO2022. She did a great job! Thanks for sharing our work with the community!
Levinger group hikes in Wyoming
The group went up to Wyoming for a day of hiking and a BBQ cookout.
Congratulations Sam!
Sam will be travelling to South Carolina in March to participate in Practical Applications of NMR in Industry Conference (PANIC) with her poster titled ‘Developing a Direct NMR Method to Measure Chemical Exchange in Aqueous Systems’. Read her abstract here, hers is poster #32!
Levinger Group goes to the National Laboratory for Genetic Resource Preservation
Fionna, Sam, Cyrus and Owen met Gayle Volk at the NLGRP at CSU on Friday to discuss the direction of the developing cryopreservation project.
